La Pinede - omg cute women's French designs

I got this LM from the nice French girl passing through LeeZu who's Pixelfashion boots enchanted me. Leave it to the French to have lovely taste. She also recommended La Pinede and all I can say is CUTE CUTE CUTE! Fun airy dresses. From L$200 to L$900+SL URL: really a shame this one appears to be gone too :o(

Pixelfashion Women's Shoes and Clothing - Wow!

Well it started at LeeZu (see previous post) - as soon as I arrived, I saw a simply stunning pair of boots and after a very nice chat with a cute girl from France I had to check out this store. Walking through their impressive entrance I realized this was going to be about more than just boots. The texturing is some of the very best i have seen in SL.Does this picture make me look flat?

The more I wandered, the more impressed I became. This creator is really talented and has put a LOT of work into her creations. This was L$240 for one or $1450 for the fatpack.

Lovely lengerie, superb detailing. I really like this designer. These were L$140 for one or L$490 for a fatpack.

OMG, when I finally got to the shoe area I was every bit as impressed as I thought I'd be after seeing those boots earlier. These are perfectly sculpted and so well textured I can hardly do them justice. Go. Now! This shoe was only L$270SL URL:http://slurl.com/secondlife/PixelFashion/77/128/23

LeeZu! Women's Gowns, Dresses and More

Several of my friends including Karina have recommended I post LeeZu for women's clothes. They really are a very good quality and quite creative, from casual to formal.

Whittentons Women's Sculptie Boots & Shoes

Thanks to my friend Tasha Charleville (a damn good designer of women's clothing herself with a post coming soon) for suggesting Whittentons. The store is large with a lot of different things so I'll be adding to this post when I get a chance to explore more, but ladies, if you are looking for sculptie boots with lots of strappies go there now! lol Reasonably priced for the detail from around L$300-L$700 for some of the models I saw depending on the complexity.

J's Prim Toed Women's Shoes

Stiletto Moody's may be the industry leader in prim toed shoes for women, but J's is another designer offering this great feature and I'm sure we will see more as time goes on. Quality is great and prices are very reasonable and range from around L$350 for a pair to around L$1600 for a fatpack. Thanks to my new sexy friend Cheetara Magic for this one!

Earning Money or the Beer Equation

As one of my main hobbies is helping newbies (tag: "Helps Newbies :o) IM Me") I get asked a lot "How do I earn money?" omg yes, a maddening question to most residents as we've seen the value in investing in our lives (sometimes small fortunes), but remember when you were new? WTH is this game and what is the point? What do you do here? How can I look like that sexy person over there (I personally do not refer to people in SL as AVs)?

Well if you are a newbie and don't want to invest a couple of bucks in the most amazing thing civilization has invented to date... well then you can camp or hunt money trees or harvest the thousands of free items on SLX (yes I know it's now https://www.xstreetsl.com/) and Freebie stores.

Camping: Honestly this is the most miserable way to spend your time in SL. We are all here to have a good time, see amazing things, and meet amazing people. If you want to earn L$5 for standing in one place for 15 min and think that your time really is only worth US$.08/hour then by all means.

Money Trees: are just what they sound like. They will be surrounded by 4 rocks that tell you how much is available in the tree. Dollar Bills are 1 Linden, Apples are L$5, Bananas are L$10, and Pineapples are L$20. They usually have from 0-25 Lindens and allow residents in their first 30-60 days to collect money.

NCI New Citizens Incorporated has one and a lot of great stuff for newbies: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Kuula/57/170/28
I also have a huge list in notecards, IM me and I'll give it to you.

Buy the freaking Lindens already. Here's how I look at it, if I'll spend US$4 on a beer in a bar: 1 Beer = US$4 = L$1,000. That's right, 4 dollars gets you a thousand Lindens and that goes a long way if you're frugal! My friend compares it to US$20 for two hours at the movies and that's 5,000 Lindens and that can last you a month in SL.

You can buy them on Second Life's official exchange:
http://secondlife.com/currency/ or several secondary markets:

Xstreet SL (formerly SL Exchange or SLX as the old timers call it for short):https://www.xstreetsl.com/modules.php?name=Currency

Anshe Chung the SL real estate mogul has a currency exchange with no upper limit:

Deviant Kitties Hair - Women

Ok so I am obsessive about tracking down things I see other people wear that I admire the quality of and this has been one of the very best ways I've found the best and most interesting things in SL (thanks to that forgotten gentleman who had on a pair of Material Squirrel wings, MS has made not only me incredibly happy but scores of my friends). I was at Inferno dancing last night and Inspected my very sexy friend Peighton Easterwood's hair and that led me to a great find. Deviant Kitties has an incredible variety of really creative hair and if Peighton's was an example, very nice quality. Around L$225 to L$2000 for fatpack. Within hours, my dearest friend in SL Autmngirl Svoboda had picked out one that looked simply fantastic. She got the Erzabet and so scrumptious in a Soul skin...SL URL: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Deviant%20Kitties/13/74/28

JCS - Jeepers Creepers Men's Shoes

JCS has some really great shoes for men, I have several pair of dressy ones. Some really creative styles and a lot of fun. Probably the best variety of good quality men's shoes of any cobbler in SL. Single pairs for around L$350 or bundles for around L$1250

I have the Shanghai Silver and it goes amazingly well with ornate suits with white accents

I also have the Oslo Black, which goes well with medium formals

Shades by Role Optic, suit by Eros Designs (me by ME, can I say that? LOL)SL URL: http://slurl.com/secondlife/La%20Fortuna%201/49/40/23

Menlosophy Clothing at Mimi's Heaven - Men's & Women's

I just stumbled upon a new store with excellent quality clothes. Unique styles and top notch texturing. I think this store which has a couple of locations (one across from Redgrave) has the exclusive distribution for these lines. Great casual styles. These are around L$200

Menlosophy is gone but Mimi's is here (updated 8-30-13)
Downstairs from Menlosophy, Mimi's has an Italian Style line for women with some really unusual and cool outfits. Excellent textures and inexpensive (most everything I saw was under L$300):

Minnu Skins by LeLutka Beaute

My friends, I cannot say enough great things about these skins. The texturing is amazing and very very soft skin tones. For those of you who like the "shiny" whiter areas on some other skins (L.Y.<-- used to), you might not realize at first the subtlties of the Minnu. I bought it, my 3rd skin in over 2 years, so you know I try not to mess with perfection. But as the technology and skills improve the products, incremental refinements are what we are going for. Karina is still prefers the Redgrave for herself, but you'll have to judge for yourself... Prices about L$750 for a single or L$4,000 for a fatpack.
They also have some really nice hair too
